Why Philippines

In the wake of mega scale, national initiatives including the E-Governance Act, Government 5.0, National Government Data Centre Infrastructure (NGDCI) Program, National Government Portal (NGP), National Broadband Plan (NBP), Philippine Digital Infrastructure Project and others, the Philippines is taking big leaps towards fostering a digital-first government.

With the World Bank approving a massive funding of $600 million to accelerate digitalization reforms, the country has received a further push towards realizing the vision of E-Governance.

The Philippines is now using every muscle to integrate the various sectors of the economy and leverage them as instruments for national development.

On behalf of National Privacy Commission, it’s an honour to be at PhilSec with data privacy and cyber security champions from across the country to share the same vision and strengthening the Philippines’ National Cyber Security Fabric while upholding the rights to data privacy.

It’s very good and a great opportunity for Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group and it is our responsibility also to inform everybody like this as part of awareness.

This is the reason why we join these kinds of conferences. We shared what we have and also got some expertise from PhilSec in order to enhance our own knowledge on security and especially to know the existing technology that can help us in investigating.
